Go to any ski shop and buy P-TEX. Put a chuck of steel or wood on one side of the hole melt the ptex until it fills in the hole. We used to repair our skiis when you would hit rocks out West. It hardens up really nice...

P-Tex sticks. The only way to go. I got some at SCheels Sports. Try to do the repairing in a warm area (heated garage). If the dripping plastic cools too qickly it becomes brittle.

I would flip the sled over. Brace the steel wool into place with a board somehow from underneath, and heat the stick so that it drips on.

I used a propane torch. Heat the stick and drip into place or rub into place. Remember not to touch the heat to your sled or your hole will grow exponentially in seconds.

This was my experience. If there is a better way, I am also interested to hear about it.
