nils hand auger

Is the Nils hand auger the same as the auger for the power head? I noticed the handle mounts differently, but it looks like the are designed to spin in opposite directions. I was thinking I could adapt the hand auger to my new nils power auger and only have to transport the power head between cabin and home. Anybody tried this yet?

The new ones are one and the same. I don't believe the old ones were the same

Nils hand and power auger use the same shaft and blades. Unless you have one of the older hand augers with the "T" pipe at the top.
