best way to put license on fish trap?

I figure there's gotta be a better, and longer-lasting way to put the license on my portable than with cardboard and paper and shoving it in the sleeve, just wondering if anyone has a neat way of doing this that theyd want to share. I was thinking about a strip of thin plastic and using letter stickers. Just looking for something that'll last. Thanks for any ideas.

I picked up a plastic "For Sale" sign (the back is white) at the hardware store, cut it to fit the pocket of my portable and then used reflective letters on the back. Its held up well and should last quite a few more years.

I write my DNR number on my Clam with a paint pen. White shows up well. The paper copy of the actual license is hung from in a plastic sleeve on the zipper with a zip tie.

I took a piece of drop cloth (could use a light colored tarp) and a black sharpie and wrote out the numbers in large print (according to regs) and slid that in the sleeve on my voyeager. Has worked great for the last year plus. Drop cloth was water proof and the sharpie doesn't run.

I've been using the same stick on type lettering that is used for boats ID. Works well when applied to clear laminate sheets.

Print out your DNR letters and numbers off the computer and then laminate them. Cut to size for the front pocket on your door, stick license on and slide in. Next year just slide out enough to put new license on. Have had this setup for 3 years with no problems.
