Crawlerman
I heard about it; it was in the Outdoors section of the St Paul paper (or was it Minneapolis?) About a month or so ago. Yeah-- it's legit and according to the Article it was only the second blue cat ever caught in Minnesota. I guess at one time they tried a small stocking of blue cats on one of the rivers but they didn't seem to do so well. I suppose it'd be like catching a paddlefish-- there present just extremely rare here.
Guest
I don't often visit the Catfish forum, so you guys may already have beat this one to death. However, in my North American Angler which arrived yesterday there was a brief story with picture of the guy who has been credited with a new Minnesota blue cat record. Is this legit? Were there any witnesses to the catch?
Guest
Its legit.....so far.You have to consider that the guy who caught this fish is a truck driver and just got back from a trip down south.Tests are or were performed to see if it was native to the MN River.THe last I heard the tests were still being done.Even some DNR employees are suspicious of this catch or that it was native to the river or if it was the product of "back yard biologists"
