Black Hills Trout

I get the chance to head to the Black Hills for the weekend and I was just wondering if you were still able to fish the streams in the Black Hills for trout, and if so if anyone had any tips for fall fishing for them... I only have fished the area in the summer months so i'm not really familiar with this time period... I fish just down from Terry Peak... Thanks for the help!

I was just looking into whether the Black Hills have a winter trout season and, yes, there are several streams that are open year round. That said, I've never fished the area so can't be much help regarding where to go, tactics, etc. It sounds like a lot of skinny water, though.

Hey thanks alot... I was thinking there might be some pretty tough fishing, but I'm hoping to find some deeper water or something

if you can post a report sometime this winter that would be great. I might try to make a trip if it sounds worthwhile.

Oh for sure, we're taking off around noon today so I should be fishing tomorrow morning.. I'll post how the trip went, but here in Sioux Falls the temp just dropped and about an inch of snow fell... hope this doesnt affect the fishing!!
