I have been fishing the chippewa river along my house and have been catching a good number of channel cats. I dont know how big they are i would say from 4-8lbs!!! I think they are big for the little river and they sure put up a fight! Anyways I was wondering what size fish is fit to eat. Has anybody tried smoking them??? A friend said we could use his smoker but i have never done that and dont know if catfish would be good. any suggestions would be appreciated. Also what other baits should i try? I have been using either nightcrawlers or corn. Thanks everybody! Goodluck cat huntin!
