Double D
Just to prove winter really isn't here yet:I was downstairs tonight getting some deer hunting stuff together for the big trip up North on Friday. We are not the best basement housekeepers and put dirty laundry in a big basket next to the wash machine. Well, some always spills out and doesn't get picked up right away.Anyhow, I have killed about 10 hornets near this laundry basket in the last month. Haven't seen one in a couple weeks, though.Tonight, I walk by previously mentioned basket, step on an old blanket next to it, and start to feel a sudden pain. I look down to see a hornet latched on the side of my big toe. Jumping, stomping and foul language quickly start. I was able to grab something to smash him off my foot, I look down and his brother is 6 inches away. I figure I must have stepped on the guy.Try as I might I haven't found the nest. I wouldn't say we've been over run and only see them in the one area of the basement. Apparently they aren't going to go away for winter, and now here I sit with a swollen foot and nothing packed.Any suggestions? All help would be appreciated.DD
Sandmannd
I has hornet problems two differant years. Ended up having to get an exterminater each time. Nothing else worked. Sucks, but it sucked more having them all over the place.
