fishingpreacher
Hi everyone. I'm looking ahead to late June, when I'll be looking to fish a lake (400 acre?) in Iowa, during the day. It's a shallow lake (14 feet maximum), and hit hard by water skiers. I'm thinking the catfish are likely to be in the deepest parts of the lake during the day; is that right? Or do they like points, rock piles, etc.? Any help would be appreciated.
doubleUcubed
fish, from the experience I've had on the lake I live on (Big Kand.) with a max. depth of about 15' (~4,500 acres) the cats will most likely be in the deep water during the day, especially with the traffic you're talking about. I would try the other locations you mentioned in the mornings, evenings and of course after dark. Hope this helps. Watch the "Cat" forum this summer and I'll post our annual "catfish" tourney information when it becomes available.
