Anyone smoke their own whitefish??

My friends dad caught a whitefish this last week and he wants me to smoke it for him. I've had some good success with salmon, but never tried whitefish, and I'm looking for some... help, quite frankly

I smoked my first whitefish this past winter. I used Hi Mountain's brine mix. Soaked the fish for overnight and smoked them according to the instructions on the package. It turned out great! I will definetly be doing it again. I used Alder for the smoke. Really liked the flavor of the brine mix and the Alder. Taseted better than any I have bought in the past.
