Browning deer barrel - year late and many dollars short

For a few years now, I've been the proud owner of a Gold Hunter 3.5 that I use for turkey hunting. I've been wanting to put a cantilevered rifled barrel on the thing for years, but have balked at the near $400 factory cantilever rifled barrel for the same amount of time.

This year, I saw that the price went from $385 to $265 at Cabelas, even though i've been told "go ahead and order it, that doesn't mean it will ever come in."

The price drop I'm sure has to do with the latest competition, American barrel, who now sells cantilever rifled barrels for both the Gold Hunter and Super X2 3.5. All for $200. It may be like the Ithaca replacement barrels of the not-so-distant past, that fit with varying degrees of success, but I thought I'd post this, so others with the same quandry would know there's an option out there!

I ended up buying a new stoeger last year to accomplish the same task, and while it's nice having yet another shotgun, saving the extra $$ would've been nice as well.
