A friend of mine once pickled whitefish and he made them turn out identical to store bought pickled herring in wine sauce. With the whitefishes fine grain texture it was WOW fantastic. Does anyone have a similar recipe so I can make my stuff like the pickled herring at the old market. Not a big fan of pickled pike...atleast not the thousand variety's I have sampled from friends and acquaintances.
