goose hunting around st. cloud

Just curious how many people hunt around the st. cloud and particulary the sartell area? I just recently moved here and thought about drivin around asking for permission, but a couple people told me its not worth trying because they seen so many people hunting the area already. anybody notice a lot of hunting pressure..? just wondering if its worth a shot.. thanks

It's always worth a shot! But there are alot of guides in that area that lease alot of the prime spots. The river is always public tho and the birds come back after feeding in the fields.

I've lived in Sartell my whole life and have some good land connections through friends and their farming relatives...it is a great place to hunt geese if you have land access, plus you can't beat a 5 minute drive from your house to where you're hunting.

I'd say just start driving around looking for fields that could hold geese and are relatively close to town--even if the corn isn't cut, etc, doesn't hurt to have some potential spots later on.
