nunzio Posted March 10, 2002 Share Posted March 10, 2002 This is just a fancy name for fish patties!!But a good recipe none the less..First I take 4 fillets (them URL fish are large!) and either poach them in seasoned water or use crab boil as per the box. Let those cool. Then mix 2) cups mashed potatoes (garlic ones are good too!), 4) finely chopped green onions, 1Tbls lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste,1/4 tsp cayanne pepper, 1) Tbls olive oil, flake fish and add to mixture.Then form into little patties (I like mine very thin so they come out crispy) Take the patties and dip them into some wisked egg and roll them in some dried bread crumbs.Then on med high heat fry in a 1/2 inch oil.I've got a little variation on Tartar Sauce.1 cup of mayo1 Tbls horseradish sauce1/4 cup finely chopped hot pickles2 tsp lemon juicepepper.
