Hi I grew up around the Chatfield area.Which part of the root if you don't mind sharing are you fishing? The part between the dam and Whalen or above the dam etc.And choice of baits.

Not a problem to share. I'm not to familiar with whalen or the dam unless you are talking about the dam in lanesboro. The area i fish is right out of lanesboro. If you know where eagle cliff campground is I fish the river in a little stretch between that and where they let the tubers onto the river. It's kind of hard to explain any further than that but I'd be more than willing to take you out to the spot. My lures of choice are a #7 black and silver rapala and a variety of different colors in the 1/16 or 1/8 oz panther martins.
