I'm not familiar with the virmillion river if thats where your 2 big browns were from,but would love to try it some time unfortunitly it's like at least 20 miles long.I would love to know what part to fish . Can you help?

The troutiest waters I've seen were between Farmington and Hwy 52. Of course, that's the only waters I've fished. Right in Farmington we put the smack down on some northern.

I did catch the 2 browns on the Vermillion. I usually don't fish it during the summer when the water temp is warm. The water in the V is marginal at best for brown trout habitat. It think the fish would stress out too much and chances of survival are much less when fished during the warm water periods. I fish mostly private property but I do, on ocassion, fish the state land 2 miles east of Farmington.

I will probably try it towards the end of the season and hit it hard next spring. I am open to taking other along. It's nice to have someone with to take pictures.
