Hello from Iowa... I’m looking to come up and smack some flatheads within the next couple weeks. I want to stop and fish the James a couple days before I head up to the MN river.

Could someone please help me with directions to camping and a boat ramp in the yankton area on the James?? Also, I hear it’s a pretty deep river, do you think I could still run my 16’ lund V ok?..considering there’s a ramp still in the water that is.

Thanks for any help, directions or advise.. I appreciate it.

it was so long ago and in the mitchel area I think. But my great uncle lived on the james river. We use to smash the flatheads a few carp to. I wish I could give you more info but it was 20 years ago. good luck
