Beaver Creek/Crooked Creek....

I am heading down to Beaver Creek/Crooked Creek this weekend and was wondering how the trouts are biting. I imagine they are sluggish with the recent heat. Any imput would be appreciated.

I fished both about a week and a half ago. Both were tough fishing. Fish were podding in both streams and extremely spooky in the Crooked, although the lower stretches had some rising, willing fish. Almost all fish were taken on nymphs/midges.

Thanks for the info, I figured fishing would be tough. Going to stop at Whitewater on my way down for a while. Somewhere along the way hopefully I will find a willing fish.

I fished the South Branch of WW last Tuesday, observing similar conditions. I did pick up a few fish though. Try throwing nymphs near the riffle heads and forget about fishing any dead water.

Thanks for the tip. Fish or no fish its nice just get out and walk the streams. Looking forward to the weekend either way.
