Guest Posted April 13, 2000 Share Posted April 13, 2000 This recipe donated by Steve Hougom of Moving Waters Guide ServiceHoney-Fried Walleye1 egg, beaten1 teaspoon honey1 cup coarsley crushed soda crackers1/3 cup-all purpose flour1/4 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon pepperIn small mixing bowl, combine egg and honey. In shallow dish, combinecrackers, flour, salt and pepper. Dip fillets in egg mixture and then dredgein cracker mixture to coat.In 12-inch skillet, heat 1/8 inch oil over medium heat. Add fillets. Fry for4 to 7 minutes, or until golden brown, turning over once. Drain on papertowel lined plate. Add additional honey for drizzling if desired.
