Cubs vs White Sox

Anyone notice how much better the cubs announcers are over the Sox. I watched a bit of the twins & cubs series on WGN and was really impressed on the knowledge of Brenly and his partner (don't recall name). They knew lots of about the twins players and even our young talent.

Then you watch a white sox game and their announcers are as bad as they come. They have so little knowledge about the game. I love baseball and will watch every game I can. Except when these guys are the commentary. What's with the stupid thigs the say like "he gone" and "YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD.....YES!" It fits the classes operation the run on the south side.

Not really a Cub fan, but I miss Steve Stone, and of course Carey. I understand there was a drama regarding Stones departure. Anyone care to share the short version?

Nothing matches the all-time greatest duo; Harry Carey and Jimmy Piersall (with Nancy Fouts playing the keyboard)! You could have fun just listening to those guys...and frankly, there wasn't much to watch between the lines on the south-side in those days. I've grown to like the new announcers and it's all the better that opposing fans don't like them.
