whitlock bay area

Has anyone been fishing this area latley. and how have you been doing

We fished there June 23,24,and 25. We found the fish by the state park. They also were biting good at swiftbird bay. We used spinners,bead and hook,leadcore and all produced. Largest was 21.5 smallest we kept was 15.5.

I was there also the same weekend. Saturday was slow but Sunday we slaayyyyed 22 walleyes. biggest was 21 and smallest was 15. All were caught down by sutton bay.

Has anyone fished the Whitlocks Bay area in Sept.? We were planning on going out third week of Sept. but are a little concerned about water levels. Is it worth the trip (it's about an 8 hr. drive) or should we head to Winni?

During Sept. most of the fishing is done below Oahe dam or near Mobridge (walleyes). In the first part of Oct. the salmon are caught from shore in Whitlock bay.
