My Lab has acne

Vet diagnosed my 9-mo lab with acne. Its on his chin. Apparently its caused by plastic, most likely a plastic bowl that he rubs chin onk when eating. Does not appear to bother him at all.

Vet got us some benzoyl peroxide cream, yes, clearasil for dogs. Has anyone else experienced this, if so, how long before it cleared up?

My lab had this too when she was younger. It clears up with-in two weeks or so. We also switched over to Stainless Steel bowls which seemed to help alot & haven't had a problem since.
