Maximum12
We used to fish Madison when a buddy of mine lived in Mankato. Other fisherman who know what they're doing may have a different take, but we had our best luck in late May/early June on the lake for walleyes - spent three openers on the lake & never caught a walleye, but caught my biggest ever out of Madison one late May night. My buddy has also caught a good number of walleye in this time frame. Also, noting your screen name, the bass fishing is excellent on Madison after the bass opener - though perhaps not at the times of day most people are out bass fishing! Lastly, try the SW Minnesota forum below, you may get some more useful responses.
