Bowmounting a trolling motor on a runabout

I have a 1989 Bayliner Capri and I want to put a bowmount trolling motor on it. However, the bow deck is at an angle to the water when the boat is level. Does this matter and if so how can I mount a motor so it's level on an angled bow deck?

I'll be adding a removable casting platform above the bow seating area (pull the seatpads and put in a carpeted plywood floor with a seat). I will of course anchor the plywood casting deck down when it's in use. Any thoughts on the best way to do this are also appreciated.

There is another option, use the trolling motors ment to be mounted on the transom where trim tabs would go. That way you can lift up your main motor (protect your lower unit from rocks), troll, and be able to control steering like a twin outboard setup (turn in the length of your boat, etc). I've thought about getting a Boston Whaler with a small cabin and that was the best solution to rigging a trolling motor on it.
