northwoods bay resort, packwash lake

anybody stayed here? have any info on the fishin,lodge,lake anything would be great. still workinbg on booking a trip in early july.

I stayed there for a week over Memorial weekend last year (my first Canada trip) and had a good time. You can't beat their prices, but once you see the cabins, you'll know why. They are small and old. The one we were in was slanted towards the lake and sleeping in the top bunk was a little scary. The week cost about as much as a 3 day weekend near Alexandria. The guys that run it are very nice, however.

The walleye fishing was pretty good as well. I caught the 2 largest ones at 26.5" and 27.25" as well as a few jumbo perch. We tried chasing northerns and managed one 36 incher, but other than that they ran very small.

Having said that, I would consider going back there again.
