Boat Seats

I have a '73 14ft 20" transom Starcraft. The wood on the Seats is in rough shape from my dat not wanting to bother with them. I was Pricing Wood to replace them and It would cost as much to buy Plywood and coat it with Fiberglass resin as it would to buy Cedar Planks and water seal them. The Cedar would look a little nicer but the plywood with resin would mean less upkeep any opinions?

I would go with the plywood. Cedar seems a little too brittle for this application. That's just my opinion. Good luck.
