Kurt Paulsen
I spent Saturday morning fishing the stream by the powerplant near stillwater. There is a nice designated parking/fishing area for shore fishing. The water is coming directly from the plant and it is much warmer than the rest of the river. Freshwater drum, carp, suckers, and mooneye were all very active there already. It can get a tad bit crowded, but if you want to just go and catch something, that is a pretty good bet. ChemE
What size hooks would you use on a slip sinker rig for suckers? I'm thinking they would be smaller than catfish size so maybe walleye size gear would be a good place to start? Thanks for your help.
Kurt Paulsen
I usually use a 4 or 6 baitholder. I hear circle hooks of the same size are very successful as well.
