Would like to get a rodholder to troll muskies with and also pull dipsies for lakers...Anyone know of a good stout one? I will be attempting to mount them somewhere on a bass boat as well if anyone has a good idea for location...

Do you guys put any type of backing behind the nuts on the back? I will be putting them on a glass boat and was wondering about them pulling out if they get hung up bad or too much torque from the dipseys..

Yes, I would put a backer board. Another idea is to install a piece of Bert's Custom Tackle or Pursuit track on your gunwales (with appropriate backer) and then you can install as many rod holders, down riggers, tool holders, etc as you want as the need arises. I have a 17" piece of track on the gunwales in the stern that I generally use 2 rod holders each on. This works for pretty good for Dipsey Divers and pulling cranks. This year I'm mounting Downriggers on this track for trolling walleyes and muskie
