justin32 Posted March 16, 2006 Share Posted March 16, 2006 well the dray legth depend on how long your arms are but hte wight i use 50lbs but i know people who use 70lbs they both work but i suggest 50 cuz it u shoot into some weed it doesnt get stuck as bad espesailly for a begineer u will do that from time to time. mncarphntr Posted March 16, 2006 Share Posted March 16, 2006 If you are new to archery in general you probably want to go to an archery shop and figure out the right draw length for you. As for draw weight look for something with an adjustment from around 45-55. You don't need or want high poundage for fishing because you'll be taking lots of shots(misses!). Check archery shops for decent used bows. I've picked up a couple extra bows from hsolist lately for 20-30 bucks so thats another good option.
