Snowy Owl

Caught this guy sitting on the RR tracks on my way back today. He was pretty shy and didn't sit long. It was a cloudy morning with a coating of fresh snow....a case where sun would have made this a vey tough pic. I just missed the focus on the second one but I like the pic.....cool markings.

Really like the composition of that second shot. Minimalist and nearly impressionistic, like the owl, with its white feathers, is disappearing into the snow and all you can see are the black spots.
