Tyler Holm Posted March 1, 2006 Share Posted March 1, 2006 I've never ice fished Clear (I'm assuming your talking about the Clear lake in Marshall county (NE SoDak)). I know the summertime offers some of the best smallie action in the state. I'd start by trying what you did last year, but if that's not producing, try to find a rockpile and setup on that. I have a cabin on clear and fish there as much as possible, but not to much in the winter, action can be very sporadic, there are alot of better lakes around the area for perch and some very nice northerns.
