Who was the guide you went with on pool4/peppin? and what time of year?

I'm obviously not Mark Stanley but I would recommend James Holst or Dustin Stewart for guides on pool 4. They are the best of the best down there.

I fish with James Holst a couple times every year. Great guide and a lot of fun. Dustin Stewart is just as good. Pool 2 and upper Mississippi smallies Steve DeZurik is the man. St Croix Turk Guerke. Can't go wrong with these guys.

As to time of year the big fish are running on Pool 2 and 4 late March usually. My trips with Holst are for big fish not numbers. He loves to go piggie hunting. We usually catch enough anyway but the goal is a double digits or bust.
