Marcum camera weights

I just bought a gs-vs camera system Fri.the 13th.Went fishing on Sun. played with may new camera, for about 30 mins. or so, When I decided to adjust the camera angle.When pushing the weight forward it suddenly shot out of the holder. You guest it! BALUP! Down the hole. When I get my new weight I will be drilling and tapping a hole for a small eye bolt,to add a safty cable or chain. Would`nt you think the would have something on that order from the factory? It would cost them less than $0.50 I know I could not be the only one to do this. God I love Murphy`s Law

flysndie, what are the odds, huh. Must've been leftover effects from the Friday the 13th purchase.

If you look at the bottom, where the weight slides in, you can spread the plastic holder a bit with your fingers, to allow the weight to slide easier. I'm just talking a little pressure here, too. Nothing that would break the plastic weight holder ring. That's what I do.
