Roughfisher
Did some great old American roughfishing this past weekend. Burbot for Hogsucker and sturgeon for me were the fish of the day.
Ralph Wiggum
Awesome! How'd you get that sturgeon through the hole?
Roughfisher
JUST BARELY!!! It took some maneuvering but she didn't get stuck at all, it was no problem. Didn't even scrape the sides.
Dan Thiem
Awesome pictures you guys! I really like the second one. Postcard perfect!
hogsucker
I told you we'd get her up the hole!I only got to snap two quick photos of this incredible creature, so we could be sure to get her back in the river safe and sound. But I'm glad this photo turned out, because it was a truly historic battle and I am glad I was a part of it. To those that say ice fishing is a boring sport, I say quit wasting your time with dinky panfish and walleyes and get out after some REAL fish! Besides the sturgeon, the Burbot action was awesome, and I landed four with the largest topping 8 pounds. What a battle they were on my medium gear. (Contact US Regarding This Word) good eating too! They are my new favorite fish to eat, surpassing the brook trout and steelhead by far! Yeah we landed some walleyes too but blahblahblah they are wimps.....~hogsucker

hanson
Nice guys! That Sturgeon is definitely bigger than this guy I caught this weekend. My first sturgeon through the ice! Way fun on 6 pound P-Line!
Roughfisher
NICE FISH!!! It's great to see the sturgeon in the St. Louis again! Awesome fish and congrats on catching the greatest of all freshwater fish. In a few years that fish won't fit up the hole. Great picture too and CONGRATS!
