herb or ron vexilar wont read between top and bottom with new transducer and battery must be 8 years old tho could it be th brushes are wore out as i use it summer and winter?

I just got my FL8slt back from Vexilar. I brought it in because I had to turn the gain up to 9 to see my lure in 16'. Typically the gain needs to be on 2.

Not only did they fix my unit - they informed me it was still under warranty!!

They have a customer for life, that's what I call GREAT customer service.

They replaced the transducer, motor and brushes.

How old is your vexilar and how long did they have it before you got it back? Just wondering because I will be sending mine back.

I dropped it off on Wednesday and picked it up on Monday.
