zercom fades

I have a colorpoint when I put it in the water it shows great definition and I can see my bait, after 20 seconds it fades and shows no details at all. I can pull it out of the water rub it on my pants put it back and get another 20 seconds.I'm sure the transducer is bad but could I try to seal it h20 tight or something or just replace.

Sealing the transducer won't help any. Sounds more like your battery is bad not the x-ducer.
