I have a 1995 Mercury 60 HP. I have no mid-range. It's either running wide open or at idle. Anything in between and the motor acts as if it will choke out. It also struggles to fire in an open throttle position on initial take off, but once up, it runs fine.
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.

If anyone has any ideas that would be great.
