Out here in Colorado waiting

Just can't wait for that first ice out here in Colorado.

Broke my leg coming down the mountain mule deer hunting this year ...long story. And now my duck hunting is suffering. But I won't let this slow me down ice fishing. I already tried my boots... pulled out the felt liner and my cast fits in there real good.

Hey Mikinaak:

Used to live in Victor and work at the Texasgulf gold mine mill. That was back in 88-89. Prettiest country I ever lived in. We were up on the highest part of Victor, and had elk bugling in September and mulies looking down into our yard. Day after deer season, a huge 6x6 was staring right in our front window.

Looked out on the Sangre de Cristos from the living room and Pike's Peak out the kitchen. Umm, why did I ever leave? Oh, yeah, it's all casinos now.

Good luck with the ice. No one I ever met who was a dedicated ice angler let a broken leg slow them down. Not quite sure about the insulation value of a plaster-of-Paris cast, though.
