Jim Hudson
Well, here are a few photos of my first ice expedition this year. Mainly went out checking various lakes for ice, found a few that were totally iced in, but the majority of lakes still have open water. Stopped at this little lake and drilled a few holes and fished for 15 minutes before moving on for more scouting... 1 small perch for my efforts... Still was nice to watch the Vexilar light up as he smoked my jig... I do have to say, be careful out there. It is suppose to warm up this weekend, with a chance of rain. Please.. Please.. Please... be careful if you try to make it out. Bring a friend and have a plan for the worst case scenario!!!
Dan Thiem
Way to go Jim! You da man!Hey, what are you wearing on the outside of your jacket? Some sort of life vest?
Jim Hudson
Yup, an inflatable life jacket... Also, you do not see them, but I have ice picks hanging from my neck. And a ways a way, my wife, snapping the photos, and a rope just in case... Never can be too prepared during first ice...
dockehr
Boy Jim, you and Hannah sure know how to "rub it in", photos and all!! We're getting closer here. Let's see; next Thursday I leave for an implant seminar in Chicago, return Saturday, leave Sunday morning for Quail hunting in Arizona, return Thursday December 8th. Heck, will there be any fish left when I return??Glad to read your response concerning the inflatable vest, ice picks, and Hannah with rope. Be careful. I'll be in touch later in the season.dockehrDr. Roland E. Kehr, Jr.Lindy Tackle
Paul Waldowski
Jim, Why do you always have to rub it in... Just found a shipping tube for that Laker rod and it should be on its way in a day or two. It will definately be there before you need it.
