2" ice found in central minnesota

made ya look, today I found 2" of ice on an oak barrel pond/mosquito breeding ground that I forgot to empty.

But seriously, wife works in Garrison, and some of the bays on the bigger pond had ice in the bays this AM, but it's supposed to warm up.

Good news is, its right around the corner.

I had at least that much on my water tank for the horses, if not more!!! almost went for the auger!!!

I actually was out walking on some ice on a small pond that gets about 6 feet deep. I drilled a few holes and found about an inch and a half of ice which will easily make 2 by morning. Not to mention this little baby holds some big bluegills and thats no joke! Take it easy boys!
