backlash 1
I was thinking a while back that if I added up all the area that uninsulated catch covers take up in a floor, that could mean more heat loss, if the rest of your floor is insulated of course. So I drilled 2 holes in each partition and inserted 6 penny nails horizontally in each hole and sprayed with great stuff foam sealant. The nails kind of act as a rebar type effect to hold the foam in place in case it would ever loosen. This is more fitting for those of us that also use our fish house for cold weather hunting, and also like myself, if i'm out fishing alone I usually won't open up all 6 holes.I don't know any way to measure the sucess of this yet, but in my mind I think it will help in heating.( the excess foam is easily trimmed off with a fillet knife )
