moving an ice house

Recommended Posts

Was able to convince one of my buddies to move his ice house that he built from his folks up in grand rapids down to the west metro. The idea is if I buy the wheels to move it we would split the house (currently on skids) The house is 6 by 9. Was looking for some advice on a good place to buy used trailers and what would be the best and most affordable type. Was thinking of a flat bed but it would have to tilt down. The trailers with the drop down wheels look a little out of what i want to spend. Any ideas appreciated

thanks

You could also rent a fishouse moving trailer from A-1 or A-Z Rental don't know which one it is but it is just East of Shoreline Bait on Hwy 15 in Navarre.

Thier trailers are pretty cool you just crank the fishouse onto the trailer. Thier trailers have winches & they have runnners that slide under the floor of the fishouse's with skids. Then you just secure the house & motto.

Hope this helps you guys.

thanks a lot for the advise. was hoping to get something for about 600-800 and it seems the new ones that i can find on the web that would work are all over about 1500. (never quite realized how much they cost since i've never had a need for one) Hopefully i can track down a used one but if not the rental might be the way to go

thanks
