captkev
FullTilt and dowload the product emulator from the softwear menu, you can get all the info you need from that site. The Emulator looks just like your gps on the computer screen. or you can get a data port cable and download the GMD program. I bought the MapCreate 6.3 and there is no end to the possabilities with this program. it show all kinds of wma's and other hunting land for the whole USA. the only thing I've found wrong is that some of the buisness are in the wrong locations, but they do have the phone number prvided, so if you cant find the place your looking for you'll have to call them. FullTilt
Thanks for the link captkev. Did you use the PC data cable with the map create? Does this allow you to see your location on the computer? One last thing, have you used the PC data cable with the Navionics or Lakemaster chips? Thanks for the info. captkev
No need for a pc data cable with the MapCreate 6.3, it comes with a MMC card and a reader. just plug it into a USB port and view all the data that was stored in your gps on the card. my old global nav needed the pc cable, but I'm likeing the removable chip better. I've only had my system for about a month and I am still learning its many functions. when I have a problem I allways goto the web site for my anwsers. Jeremy airjer W
I don't know and I don't think so. In order to print the lake maps I think you would have to have a program that "emulated" a lowrance opperating system. Or for $80 you can upgrade your lakemaster software to the pro series. If you don't have the Lakemaster software your missing out. I'll be upgrading in a few weeks. After seeing the the 1ft. contours on my H2O I am convinced that the upgrade will be a huge improvement. Not to mention hours of entertainment searching through all the detail trying to find the next "Honey of all Honey Holes"!
FullTilt
airjer,Fill me in on what the Lakemaster upgrade is? I currently have the Lakemaster chip (the $99 one) and the Navionics Gold (the $199 one). I needed the Navionics chip for Rainy Lake and the Lakemaster for a couple local lakes. Is the Lakemaster upgrade a software application or another chip? Thanks for the info, the add-ons for this stuff are endless. Also, what does the PC data cable do? Jeremy airjer W
I was refering to the PC version. I currently have the basic software package and have considered it a valuable tool. After seeing the fanominal detail that the Lakemaster chip provides on my H2O I am ready to upgrade my PC software with the lakemaster Gold upgrade. Unclefluffy
I spoke with a tech. at Lowrance. They estimate the 12 hours of use to be had when satellites are locked and not searching and the backlight is off. I think this is true for the greyscale units as well.
