Oklahoma catfish on KARE11

I just finished watching the 6:00 news on channel 11. They finished the newscast with an OH MY GOD story. They were like, "Can you believe the size of this GIANT Oklahoma flathead catfish." They cut to a pic of a big cat laying on the cement sidewalk deader than a doornail. "So and so caught this MONSTER catfish in an Oklahoma river. The catfish weighed 57lbs and 47" long. When asked what the fisherman was going to do with the fish he replied, 'put it in some hot grease'."

It's too bad that story was on TV. They should see this sight and show all the big fish released. Now that is a real story.

I personally didn't think the fish was as big as they claimed; but still a waste of a trophy that could be caught many times over.

Don't tell anybody that YOU know where fish that big live in the state of Minnesota. God forbid we'd have to drive to Oklahoma to catch a fish that big. Well... I would if I could catch them consistently!!!
