converting standard Mr Heater to Heater/Cooker

I've got a tank top Mr Heater and would like to convert it to the Heater/Cooker model (the one on the little wire stand). Has anyone done this? I can get the wire stand from Mr Heater and would buy the hose also.

I'm tired of having the whole tank in the house.

I'd prefer not the spend the $50 for another heater - I'm eyeing up the Big Buddy heater for a spring clearance purchase next year.

thanks!

Bigbart,

I converted mine several years ago. The only problem is that the newer wire-rack models have a bracket on the rear of the heat shield that the rack slides into. The old models do not have this bracket. As a result, you will have to fasten your modification directly to the shield: flat tabs from the wire and a couple of sheet metal screws.
