hobbydog
Got back last night and got some pics processed. A so-so opening week. Not many mallards and the drakes we did get were very brown. Lots of divers though. Ringers, and bluebills mostly with a few goldeyes. Thought the big front that pushed through on Wed would bring some new ducks but Thursday and Friday were slow and slower with mostly singles. Lots of hunters pulled in Friday,(more than on opener) expecting the same but all were dissapointed unless something moved in Sat. against the southe wind.....anyway, some pics from the 2005 opener. Opening day with my partrner and his son. A good diver shoot on Tuesday...... My 5 year old lab had it figured out this year. He made a couple terrific saves. A nice full plume buffie....... It was 22 degrees Thursday morning and their was a bit of skim ice and a nice frost mixed in with the fall color. And a nice sunrise on a cold morning.....
