kb1965
Getting ready for the upcoming season I purchased a new gas regulator that will automatically switch tanks when one runs out. Now my problem is when I lit the furnace today, and let it go on high for about 6 hours and it seems to me it does not get as hot inside as last year. I don't want to freeze my butt off come this winter. I looked at the burner and it is clean also. Do regulator's come preset at different settings in how much gas they let through? Would this cause my heater not to put out as much heat?Kevin
Kaz
KB; I had the same problem too. My flame didn't seem as high as before. Also the igniter wouldn't start the pilot either. I opened the cap on the regulator and tightened the spring screw to increase the gas flow. That did the trick, the pilot started and the heater worked as before. I opted to not use the automatic switch over, but that would be a nice feature though...."Come On Ice".. Kaz
kb1965
Thanks Kaz, I am going to have to try that. I left the furnace on high all night long, low temp of 29 outside, and it got to a balmy 50 degrees. It should have been a lot warmer.
