Sturgeon by Kettle Falls Dam

I am an avid sturgeon angler and I am wondering if you can fish sturgeon by either of the kettle falls dams and if anyone has had any success doing so, or any other places on Rainy to fish sturgeon. Thanks!

Try in Rainy River below the dam right in International Falls. I caught one 53" this time of year a few years ago on 6# line while fishing for smallmouth.

Down river is good too - you might try the Rainy River thread to get better information about that area.

I have had good success by the dam in the falls for sturgeon, but was wondering about the fishing in front of the Kettle falls dams. Any info from anyone would be very helpful. Thanks!
