Lake Kampeska Report

Fished kampeska over the labor day weekend. Walleye fishing was slow. Only managed 4 walleyes. two walleyes were under 14 inches. the other 2 were 16 and 18 inches.

Crappie bite is pretty fair. Caught around 20. We drift fished mostly because of the 20+mph winds.

Also caught a few perch. All were on the small side. 8 inches and under.

Best lure was a bottom bouncer with a 4 to 5 foot snell and a soft body floater(gum drop) or floating jig head. Tip with large fathead minnow.

Thanks for the report. A friend said Cochran was dead over the weekend, too. Maybe the wind, maybe the transition period.
