Any catfishing lakes / rivers around Andover, East Bethel etc?

Would like to try catfishing close to home up here in the northern twin cities area.. Any recomendations? Thanks

I used to fish Cats in the River down in South St. Paul and fished the head of Deep pools or behind wing dams and deadfalls. Not sure if it a person looks for anything different up there where the river is smaller? Maybe MSRiverdog could agree/disagree/add to that?

Lot's of Cat's up here. The one's I've been catching in front of my place have been 5 to 10, Carp have been 5 to 10/12 and I have lost a couple big fish (Cat/Carp?). With today's wind it seem's the Smallies are back in front of my place, just put a 18 back a couple minutes ago. The big Smallies are down here but I think in holes that are pretty hard to get to with the low water with anything but a River Pro or other (is there?) jet boat, or wading. Bottom line, got no water but the fishing has been constant and good. I've been dangling crayfish, have had strikes on white HT buzzers and tubes.
