I heard this last night on ESPN while Marquis was getting spanked by the D-Backs. I think with the reality that Rolen will be lost for the year due to needing a 2nd shoulder (labrum) surgery and 6 month rehab Walt and Tony feel another big bat is needed to help protect Pujols. Look for an anouncement soon on this. Walker should be back real soon his neck feels great and Sanders is still a couple weeks away from coming back. Molina received a nice ovation from the Cardinal faithful upon his return last night from the DL . Chris Carpenter goes for his 18th win tonight against the Giants. Marquis is best suited to be a pinch hitter the rest of the way and I really wish they would recall Reyes from triple AAA. He made one quality start for them already and with him occupying the 5th spot in the rotation we could go on some serious runs.
